COVE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

A good fit
starts here.

Choose your mounting position below. Work with the blind and brackets in front of you; the top metal rail is the headrail.

Print / save guide

For Cove Express, Elite and 2-Inch Cordless Wood Blinds supplied with box end brackets and opening front flaps.

Get ready to fit.

Mounting brackets and screws come with your blind. Select fixings appropriate for the surface; the supplied screws may not suit every wall or frame.

The bracket fronts open to receive the rail and close to retain it.

Keep these within reach

Set out a tape measure, pencil, level, screwdriver and drill. Choose any drill bit to suit the fixings you will use.

Check whether your valance clips must be fitted before the rail. If extra supports are supplied and their positions are unclear, ask Cove before fixing them.

Illustrations show where the blind and brackets go, rather than exact hardware details. Mounting depth and fixing method depend on your blind and mounting surface.

THE FRAME HOLDS THE BRACKETS

Inside mount

  1. Find a clear position.

Hold the top metal rail within the opening. Leave room for the window and its handles to work without touching the blind.

  2. Transfer the fixing points.

Offer each end bracket to the rail. Use the same setback on both sides and pencil-mark the bracket holes suitable for your frame.

Check the finished fit.

Fit the decorative front cover with its matching clips. Make a gentle operation check: the rail should stay supported and the slats should move without catching.

If the rail is loose or a front flap will not secure, stop and ask Cove for help.
