How to measure an inside mount
- Measure the opening’s width at the top, middle, and bottom. Record all three; note the narrowest width.
- Measure height at the left, center, and right. Record all three; note the tallest height.
- Check available bracket depth and obstructions such as handles, locks, or trim. Contact Cove to confirm the required mounting depth.
Enter the narrowest opening width without subtracting anything yourself. Cove deducts ½ inch from the finished width only. Enter the tallest measured height; no height deduction is applied.
- Choose where the brackets will attach, on the wall or trim, and check for a suitable flat mounting surface.
- Measure the width you want covered, allowing for your desired side coverage.
- Measure from the planned top mounting position to the desired bottom edge. Check hardware clearance and any handles or trim.
Enter the desired finished width and height. No deduction is applied for an outside mount. Confirm the required overlap, bracket space, and hardware clearance before ordering.
